What We Worked On This Week
More pieces of No One Leaves the Field are clicking into place—and now you can hear the field too.
Here’s what we focused on this week:
- 🛠️ Pause Menu Layout – We updated the layout and added spots for your inventory and your current task, so you’ll always know what you’re doing… or supposed to be doing.
- ✅ Task Manager – A new system now tracks what tasks you’ve been given and what you’ve completed. It’s the backbone for story and progress flow.
- 🔍 Inspector Tool – We’ve fine-tuned how you interact with objects up close, including zooming in on specific elements like notes, keys, or items of interest.
- 🎧 Sound Manager – The game now has ambient sound! The field is starting to breathe, hum, and rustle.
Localization Update 🌍
We’ve added Steam page support for four new languages:
- 🇪🇸 Spanish
- 🇧🇷 Portuguese
- 🇷🇺 Russian
- 🇯🇵 Japanese
These are the planned languages for full game localization, and we’re excited to bring the experience to more players globally.
What’s Next
Coming up, we’ll be working on:
- Completing the inventory manager
- Adding environmental sounds and music cues
- Designing the interface for reading journals and letters
