Devlog — March 30, 2026
Another exciting week for Shape Swarm. Valve has officially approved the game for release on Steam as we prepare for our April 14 launch 🚀
This week also marks a major milestone: Architect Mode has been added as a launch-ready play mode. That brings the total to three distinct ways to play at release:
Save the Colony
A timed 17-minute mission where you must hold back the swarm long enough for the Colony Fleet to escape.
Infinite Mode
Survive as long as possible as the swarm grows stronger and more relentless.
Swarm Architect
With each evolution cycle, you decide how the swarm adapts—shaping the challenge in real time and testing how long your own creation can be survived.
We’re now focused on final polish, balance tuning, and power-up descriptions as we move into the final stretch before launch.
