DevLog Update: New Enemy Shapes, TriStar Trio & Next Fest Prep

January 25, 2026

Hey everyone 👋

Hope you’re having a great week and staying warm wherever you are. As always, thanks so much for being here and supporting what we’re building—it really does mean a lot. Things are moving quickly on the dev side, and this week brought some fun gameplay progress along with a few exciting milestones on the horizon.

Here’s a look at what we’ve been working on 👇

This week we worked on some new enemy shapes, including one of my favorites so far: the TriStar Trio.

The TriStar Trio are three enemies tethered together that share a single health pool. The real danger isn’t just the enemies themselves—the tether between them is a hazard and deals damage if the player crosses it. It creates some fun positioning pressure and forces players to think differently about movement and spacing.

On the marketing side, this week we’ll be reaching out to media outlets to see if we can get some early coverage as we work toward February’s Steam Next Fest.

The finish line for the main play mode is finally within reach. We should have it wrapped up in the next couple of weeks. Once that’s done, we’ll shift focus to building out the infinite play mode.

🎲 Global Game Jam – Next Weekend

Next weekend, we’ll be participating in Global Game Jam, joining a live in-person event with our local IGDA chapter here in San Diego.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what we end up building in such a short time. Depending on how things turn out, I may drop a playable version into the Indie Sagas Arcade for everyone to check out. At the very least, I’ll share a link once the jam project is live.
