This is our weekly studio devlog, where we share progress on the games we’re building at Digital Sagas, along with a quick look at what’s been happening across Indie Sagas.

🎮 Studio Devlog — Shape Swarm
The Shape Swarm demo is evolving, and an updated build is coming soon.

Over the past week, we’ve been focusing on enemy behavior and pacing. Several existing shapes now feature more advanced movement patterns, and we’ve introduced new shape enemies designed to keep players adapting as runs progress.
We’re also actively tuning leveling balance and enemy evolution timing—aiming to make each run feel tense and exciting without becoming overwhelming… at least not until it’s supposed to.
Demo & Steam Progress
We’ve officially submitted our initial demo build to Steam, along with the Demo Page.
If everything goes smoothly, we expect to launch the Steam demo within the next couple of weeks.
You can still play the current demo:
-
On itch.io
-
Or on the Digital Sagas Arcade

We’ll continue iterating on the demo as we move toward our February Steam Next Fest showcase.
What’s Next
Once the updated demo is live, development will shift toward the full “Save the Colony” mode.
Planned features include:
-
A 17-minute run to the end
-
New shape evolutions
-
Escalating difficulty
-
A few surprises we’re not ready to spoil just yet
We’ll also begin work on Unlimited Play Mode, where evolutions continue to escalate for as long as you can survive.
