This week was a lighter development week for our main projects, but we still made progress on a few important fronts.

The biggest focus was preparing for Bullet Fest, which begins on June 8, 2026. We created an updated trailer for Lost Colony and prepared promotional materials for the event. Both Lost Colony and Shape Swarm will get some showcase time during the Steam festival, giving us a great opportunity to put both games in front of more players.
Lost Colony is currently available to wishlist on Steam, while Shape Swarm is available to purchase now.
Lost Colony and Shape Swarm at Bullet Fest

For Lost Colony, the focus is on getting the updated demo back in front of players. The new version represents a major step forward from the earlier demo, with more roguelite structure, procedural levels, upgrades, and combat encounters.
Check out the Trailer here.
For Shape Swarm, Bullet Fest gives the game another chance to find players who enjoy fast-paced bullet heaven action, neon arcade visuals, and quick roguelite runs. With the Steam Summer Sale also approaching, this is a good stretch for keeping the game visible.
AI Prototyping: Go Fish and LLM-Powered NPCs
We also spent time this week experimenting with AI-driven gameplay. The current prototype is a simple version of Go Fish, where the player faces off against an AI opponent powered by a local LLM.

Right now, the game connects to an LLM service running on a local laptop. The AI uses its own agent structure to make decisions and respond during play. The next step is to explore ways to integrate the LLM directly into the game itself, allowing the AI system to be packaged with the final build instead of relying on a separate local service.
Go Fish is only the starting point. Once the foundation is stable, the plan is to move into more complex card games such as Hearts, where memory, strategy, and player modeling become more important. Long term, the goal is to use these experiments as the foundation for strategy games with NPCs powered by LLM-based decision making.
That opens the door for opponents who do more than follow static behavior trees. They could reason through game states, react to player habits, and create more dynamic interactions over time.
It is still early, but the prototype is a promising first step.
