We’re kicking off the year with updates to Indie Sagas, the launch of our first Arcade game, and continued progress across our current projects.

Indie Sagas Content Updates

We’re refining how we share content moving forward.

  • Wishlist Wednesday and Fear Friday continue

  • New indie game spotlights publish on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with occasional additional spotlights as time allows

  • Regular newsletters are being retired

Going forward, devlogs will post here on Patreon first, before appearing on the Indie Sagas site. These posts will focus on studio updates, releases, announcements, and highlights from the indie development community. Patreon supporters will always see them early.

Our First Arcade Game: Shape Swarm

After eight weeks of development, we’ve released an early demo of Shape Swarm, playable directly in your browser on Itch. This is the first title in our new Arcade Series.

The Arcade Series focuses on smaller, replayable web games:

  • Games are playable on Indie Sagas for Patreon members

  • Full downloadable versions release on Steam

  • Public demos remain available for anyone to try

We’re submitting the demo build to Steam this weekend, with the official Steam demo expected in the next couple of weeks. Shape Swarm will also be showcased during February Steam Next Fest.

As development continues, new modes and experimental updates will roll out first to Patreon members through the Web Arcade.

Development continues on No One Leaves the Field.

  • The Barn is complete

  • New areas like the Pumpkin Patch and Windmill are in development

  • The full story and narrative structure are planned

Demo Reminder

Looking Ahead

At the end of the month, we’ll be participating in the Global Game Jam through our local IGDA San Diego chapter.

2026 is shaping up to be a big year:

  • First commercial launch targeted for late March

  • A second release planned for July / August
