What We Worked On This Week
The field’s getting fuller—and a little noisier.
Here’s what we added:
- 🦶 Footstep Sounds – The player now makes subtle footstep sounds that change based on surface. It’s a small touch, but it makes a big difference in immersion.
- 🎮 Player Controller Upgrade – We’ve fully migrated movement to Unity’s Player Controller system for smoother handling and future flexibility.
- 🏚️ New Landmarks Added – Both the dried well and the work shed are now live in the world. They’ll play important roles in the game’s progression.
- 🌿 Environmental Details – We began placing random grass patches, bushes, and small trees to bring life and variation to the procedurally generated field.
What’s Next
- Finishing the inventory system
- Implementing UI for reading letters and journals
- Continuing to refine level states and progression flow
- Adding music cues and more ambient sound triggers
Studio Notes
While we won’t be part of the June Steam Next Fest, we’re excited to see so many incredible indie games take the spotlight. We’ll be cheering from the sidelines—and hard at work preparing our own demo release in the weeks to follow.
