Dev Log – June 22: Don’t Step in the Wheat

🌾 Progress in the Field

This week’s updates have made No One Leaves the Field a little louder—and a lot more dangerous.

  • ✅ More Tasks and Interactable Items
    Players now have more objectives and meaningful interactions, deepening the gameplay loop.
  • 🚪 New Sound Effects
    Doors creak open and slam shut with fresh audio cues to enhance immersion.
  • 🌿 Field Movement Penalty
    Walking through the wheat now slows the player and alerts the scarecrow. Choose your steps wisely—sometimes the path is the only safe way forward.

We’re continuing to build atmosphere and flesh out the demo:

  • Ambient events to raise tension
  • Additional tasks and collectibles
  • The farmhouse interior becomes explorable
  • Finishing the inventory and settings menus
