Hey everyone 👋
This weekend we took a short break from our regular development schedule. Instead, we participated in the Global Game Jam.

The Global Game Jam is the world’s largest game creation event. It brings together hundreds of thousands of developers worldwide. This year, we joined in person with our local IGDA chapter in San Diego. That made the experience even more rewarding.
The theme of the jam was “Mask.”
Because of that, our developers split up and joined two different teams. As a result, two very different games were created.
🎭 Duel Mask

Duel Mask is a card-based fighting game. Strategy and sequencing are just as important as execution.
The game was created by Jam Survivors. The team focused on blending deck-building mechanics with fast-paced combat.
😷 50 Shades of Mask

50 Shades of Mask is a tense survival experience. Players must avoid obstacles and outlast the mask as pressure builds.
This game was created by Warpunkz. It leans heavily into endurance and player tension.
Overall, the jam was a great experience. It was fun, creative, and fast-paced. More importantly, game jams are a great way to meet other developers. They also allow you to work with people of all skill levels. Huge thanks to our local IGDA chapter for organizing the event and bringing everyone together.
