This week we polished the Shape Swarm demo ahead of Steam Next Fest — refining the Orbital Growth PowerUp, tightening leveling progression, adding localization, and launching a Mac build. We’re also cutting a new trailer, refreshing screenshots, and preparing Indie Sagas’ first-ever Mini Showcase with a curated lineup and sizzle reel. Big momentum week.
🔷 Shape Swarm — Demo Polish & Prep

We focused on refining the Shape Swarm demo as we gear up for Steam Next Fest.
🔧 What Changed This Week
-
Reworked the Orbital Growth PowerUp
-
Improved scaling so the orbitals feel more impactful as your build comes online
-
Better synergy with mid-game upgrade paths
-
-
Audited and corrected leveling progression
-
Cleaned up XP pacing
-
Ensured upgrade unlock timing feels intentional
-
The goal?
Make the demo feel fast, powerful, and readable — especially for first-time players discovering us during Next Fest.
🌍 Steam Page Updates & Mac Build
We also:
-
Added additional localization to the Steam page
-
Uploaded a Mac build so more players can jump into the swarm
Accessibility and reach matter — especially during a visibility event like Next Fest. Every extra platform and language increases the chance someone finds us for the first time.
🎬 Trailer & Screenshot Refresh
We’re currently cutting together a new trailer and updating screenshots to better showcase:
-
Build power spikes
-
Screen-filling chaos
-
The neon clarity of enemy swarms
The goal is simple:
When someone lands on the page, they should immediately understand the fantasy —
You get strong fast. Then you see how long you can survive.
📰 Indie Sagas — Mini Showcase Announcement

Speaking of Steam Next Fest…
Indie Sagas will be hosting its first Mini Showcase.
We curated a selection of indie games and will be featuring them:
-
On the Indie Sagas website
-
Across social platforms
-
In a dedicated sizzle reel video
This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while — not just promote our own work, but spotlight other devs launching during Next Fest.
