Welcome to the very first Demo Spotlight for Wishlist Wednesday here at Indie Sagas! Each week, we’ll highlight promising indie demos and playtests that deserve your attention.
→ A quick note: not every game we feature is on Steam yet. Some live on itch.io or are still in early playtest stages. But the spirit of Wishlist Wednesday is the same—play what you can now, follow the devs, and if the game has a Steam page, wishlist it to support their journey.
Dressmaker

Developer: elyaradine (Ruan Rothmann, Sara Laubscher, Sabrina Becker, Jonathan Hau-Yoon; music by Meydan)
Synopsis: A cozy, sewing-themed creative game where players cut, stitch, and craft garments in a way that feels tactile and satisfying. Originally prototyped at Free Lives (Broforce, Terra Nil), it already charms players who love hands-on sims.

Why Watch It: The concept is cozy and unique, which already sets it apart. In addition, early player feedback has been glowing, with many calling it a joyful sewing experience. As a result, if the prototype grows into a full game, Dressmaker could stand proudly alongside hits like Unpacking or A Little to the Left.
💬 “This game is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! As someone who loves to sew, it captures the joy perfectly.” – itch.io player
Status: ✅ Demo available now on itch.io

Shadows Must Fall

Developer: FishyCharmer (solo dev with several puzzle/action projects)
Synopsis: A roguelite tower defense where you build your arena tile by tile, defend waves of shadow monsters, and face unique bosses through adaptive, replayable runs.
Why Watch It: Players on itch.io have praised the demo for its fun loop and replay value. In fact, the game currently holds a perfect score from community reviews. Because the developer actively responds to feedback, there is strong reason to believe the project will continue improving. As a result, Shadows Must Fall feels like a hidden gem in the making.
💬 “Wow, what a game! I had so much fun playing this… You should definitely go for a release!” – itch.io player
Status: ✅ Demo available now on itch.io
→ No Steam page yet—follow the dev so you’re ready to wishlist later.

Soul Dier — Part 1
Developer: Veyeral Games (led by Angel Polanco, indie creator of narrative-driven designs)
Synopsis: A tactical JRPG that avoids grinding in favor of handcrafted, story-driven encounters. Every battle matters, inspired by Trails from Zero and Azure.
Why Watch It: The demo includes a full prologue, about 10% of the final game. In addition, your progress will carry into the release version. As a result, fans who want story-driven strategy without grinding will find plenty to enjoy.
Status: ✅ Demo available now on Steam
→ Don’t just play—wishlist it on Steam to help the devs!
Bladesong
Developer: Sun and Serpent Creations
Synopsis: A blacksmithing sim where forging blades is the game itself. Experiment with materials and techniques to craft swords that feel alive and personal.
Why Watch It:The idea of a blacksmithing sim is rare, which makes this project instantly intriguing. In previews, players have noted the forging system feels fresh and full of potential. However, critics also say it needs more polish and flair to reach its full impact. As a result, Bladesong is worth wishlisting now and keeping an eye on as development continues.
