This week’s Wishlist Wednesday moves from a magical wilderness to a modular warship and finally a spaceport on a newly colonized planet — three upcoming indie games, three different audiences.

Golemcrafter

Developer: Good Sheep Syndicate
Status: Coming in 2027
Something cold-forged stirs in the magical wilderness — and it’s you. In Golemcrafter, you play as a sentient golem exploring a world older than the ones who made you, gathering resources, building a sanctuary, and crafting companions that range from humble first friends to towering magical guardians. Every creation changes how you leave your mark.

It’s a single-player survival crafting game built around a feel-good loop: explore a magical world, harvest what you need, establish a base, and interact with the creatures inhabiting the world. Along the way you craft powerful golems just like yourself, make friends, and unlock new powers.
What Makes It Worth Watching
- Companion crafting that scales from small helpful friends up to large magical guardians
- The golem form gives the survival-crafting loop a distinct identity: you’re building a world and the beings in it at the same time
- Single-player, planned for Windows, 2027

Terminal Swarm

Developer: Umpfelgrumpf Studio
Status: Coming Q2 2027
Terminal Swarm is a single-player tactical roguelite where you build and command a modular warship in real-time space battles. Place weapons and support systems on a hull that can be blown apart, launch missile barrages, fire railguns from a distance, or send fighters ahead. The trick is that you can slow time mid-battle — jump behind an asteroid to block a salvo, pull enemy ships together with a gravity anomaly, or use an electromagnetic pulse to disable an incoming barrage before pressing the attack.

Both sides can shoot down incoming missiles, so your attacks have to get past the enemy’s defenses too. Collisions tear pieces from hulls, which gives every fight a tangible sense of consequence.
Between battles you expand your hull and make room for new systems; during a run you follow Field Doctrine, choosing research branches and unlocking weapon blueprints that suit your build. Between runs, the Legacy Matrix grants permanent unlocks — more starting ships, more equipment, and weapon archives earned by defeating specific enemies. An admiral, an engineer, a cyborg, and a coffee maker share your journey, and your choices shape their stories and loyalties.
What Makes It Worth Watching
- Real-time space combat with active slow-time — a tactical layer that rewards positioning and timing
- Modular ship design where the hull itself is destructible and every run can be a different build
- Dual progression: in-run Field Doctrine plus between-run Legacy Matrix permanent unlocks
- A small character cast (admiral, engineer, cyborg, coffee maker) whose loyalties shift with your choices
- PC release planned for Q2 2027; English and German

Spaceport Architect

Developer: Djentsoft
Status: To be announced
Spaceport Architect is a sci-fi airport tycoon about building and running the only spaceport on a newly colonized planet. You lay out the whole port — landing pads, roads, cargo halls, passenger terminals, storage, maintenance, amenities — then hire and assign staff to operate it. The logistics systems turn that physical layout into a functioning port: accept import contracts, schedule incoming ships, unload cargo, and move it to the colony before perishable supplies spoil. Keeping the colony supplied lets it grow, unlocking larger ship classes, more passenger traffic, and export contracts.

The port has to handle both predictable traffic and surprises. Contracts are manually assigned to specific landing pads, so you decide how much capacity to commit to recurring jobs and how much to keep free for one-offs and emergencies. Ships may arrive for refueling or repairs, or offer discounted — occasionally contraband — cargo. Passenger operations run alongside cargo handling, modeled on real airport processes: check-in desks, security checkpoints, boarding gates, and retail units you can lease to spaceline contacts.
Beyond the logistics, the game includes ship maintenance and repair deadlines, reputation, dynamic weather, day/night cycles, and procedurally generated maps across desert, grassland, and snow biomes. It’s a one-person project from Djentsoft targeting PC.

What Makes It Worth Watching
- A real airport-airline loop transplanted into space — ticketing, security, boarding, retail leases
- Layout-driven design: your terminal and pad arrangement directly shapes how ships, cargo, and passengers flow
- Dynamic, perishable cargo with contracts you schedule across individual landing pads
- Maintenance, repair deadlines, reputation, and weather layered on top
- Procedural terrain across desert, grassland, and snow — the port setup changes every map
