This week’s Wishlist Wednesday has a local spotlight.
Over the weekend, IGDA San Diego hosted Demo Days, bringing together developers from across the San Diego indie game scene to showcase what they have been building. This week, we are highlighting three San Diego-based games that presented during the event.

From bone-crunching martial arts action to chaotic multiplayer platforming and a nostalgic dice-based roguelike, these are indie games worth adding to your Steam wishlist.
Skelemental: Monk’s Fury

Developer: Jamin Games
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2890660/Skelemental_Monks_Fury/
Skelemental: Monk’s Fury is an action game where you rise again as the Skeleton Monk after a deadly betrayal. Now reborn, you must journey through the ruined land of Mortis to find your captured lover, take revenge on the one who killed you, and restore balance to a world consumed by corruption.

The game blends martial arts combat with elemental powers, giving players fast and responsive melee action built around timing, spacing, and combo mastery. As you fight aggressively and skillfully, you build Spirit that can be used to unleash powerful abilities during battle.
Skelemental also adds a creative twist with bone-based customization. Players can swap and upgrade different parts of their skeleton, including skulls, arms, and other bones, to gain stat bonuses, change their build, and visually transform the Skeleton Monk.
With a haunting world inspired by Japanese mythology, interconnected exploration, hidden paths, secrets, and powerful combat, Skelemental: Monk’s Fury looks like a stylish action game to keep an eye on.
MUPPLED

Developer: Urgent Burger
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4595290/MUPPLED/
MUPPLED is a chaotic multiplayer platformer and level editor where players can race, build, cooperate, compete, and torment each other across several different game modes.

Short for MUltiPlayer PLatform EDitor, MUPPLED lets players take control of funny little characters in creative sandbox-style platforming challenges. One of the game’s standout mechanics is its gravity system, allowing players to walk on walls and ceilings while navigating momentum-based levels.
The game includes several modes designed for different types of play. SHIFT challenges players to race through pre-built levels, collect stars, and reach the exit. BOSS lets one player build a level while the others try to beat it. SNAKEturns one player into a moving snake of blocks while everyone else rides along. FREE EDIT gives players room to build whatever they want, while SPIKE WORLD and SPIKE PUZZLE add resource management, optimization, and daily leaderboard challenges.
MUPPLED looks like a strong fit for players who enjoy multiplayer chaos, platforming skill, creative level building, and games that are better when friends are yelling at each other.
Slumber Realm

Developer: Chugga Chugga LLC
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3325390/Slumber_Realm/
Slumber Realm is a 90s-inspired dice roguelike where players battle childhood fears through quick, combo-heavy turn-based runs.
The game is built around a simple but clever idea: one die roll can trigger your entire build. Players use a trusty d6 to activate equipment, chain synergies, and create wild combinations across snappy 30-minute runs.

Slumber Realm includes four playable classes, more than 150 equipment cards, 30 memories that can make battles easier or stranger, and 60 snacks to boost your runs. Each run gives players new ways to experiment, unlock gear, and push their build further.
The 90s theme also extends beyond combat. Players can decorate their bedroom with nostalgic relics like retro games, movie posters, skateboards, and other throwback items. With its mix of dice mechanics, roguelike progression, childhood fear battles, and nostalgic charm, Slumber Realm is one to wishlist for fans of creative turn-based roguelikes.
