Genokids is a fast-paced hack-and-slash action game from indie duo Nukefist, where music and motivation collide in a chaotic, over-the-top battle for Earth. When the Infinite Empire of Zenodia descends from the stars to assimilate humankind, their first target isâunfortunatelyâa concert. One moment, the band Genokids is mid-encore; the next, their stage becomes ground zero for an alien invasion. Instead of running, the band fights backâturning riffs into weapons, and turning every battle into a show-stopping solo.

Built in Unity, Genokids captures the energy of a live performance through kinetic combat and wild creativity. Players can swap between four different characters on the fly, chaining aerial combos and special attacks in a seamless flow of rhythm and destruction. Every blow charges your Motivation Meter, letting you unleash Hyper Mode and push past your limits. Beneath the chaos runs a surprisingly heartfelt story about ambition, burnout, and the unstoppable power of motivation.
Genokids is planned for release on PC, with console versions to follow.

đŽ Letâs Play Genokids Demo
Creator: Antonio Redgrave
In his early demo playthrough, Antonio Redgrave dives headfirst into Genokidsâ chaotic energyâimmediately captivated by its mix of Devil May Cry-style action and punk-rock personality. He praises the Kickstarter campaign for its fast success (âfunded in under 24 hours!â) and calls the demo âa [__] amazing projectâ that deserves support purely on its style and creativity.
Throughout the video, he highlights the fluid combat system, experimenting with character swapping, custom control mapping, and combo flow. His genuine enthusiasm carries through as he learns the mechanics, noting how Genokidsâlooks really sickâ and feels like a natural evolution of high-speed action games.
âA fast-paced 3D hack and slash game about a band of musicians using the power of motivation to take down an alien invasion⌠and it feels awesome.â â Antonio Redgrave
